Subject: Suspicious phone calls regarding debit card activation

The Platte County Sheriff's Department has received reports of automated telephone calls to our citizens, which advise their debit card has been suspended. The call further requests information from the debt cardholder that may include the number and personal identification number.

The Platte County Sheriff's Department cannot confirm the legitimacy of the calls and strongly advises our citizens to contact their bank, or the originator of their card, directly to resolve any issues with their accounts.
